With TV Recording, you can record an entire show. You can record immediately, or you can use Media Scheduler to begin recording at a specific time, while you are away from the computer. For most TV devices, the default recording format is AVI. Media Center will also record in WMV. If you have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR series or an ATI HDTV Wonder, then the recordings will be in MPEG-2 format.

Before recording

  1. Select (or setup your own) a recording profile. See Configure TV for Recording.
