Container Formats

Several filetypes are used for files that can contain any format of file. These include AVI, MP4, MKV, and others.

For this reason, MC cannot always determine whether the file contains audio or video, for example. In these cases, MC can mistakenly place the file in the wrong media type (audio, video, images, and documents). This can be corrected by editing the "media type" in the tag for the file.
