Where do imported files go?: Difference between revisions

All imported files go to two places:

The "Recently Imported" Playlist. Select Playlists in the organization tree and then select Recently Imported. By default, this playlist is set to clear when you exit the program. That means then when you exit and open the program again, the Recently Imported playlist will no longer be in the organization tree. It will automatically be re-created the next time you import files. To keep your files in the playlist, uncheck "Clear 'Recently Imported' playlist on exit" in Tools > Options > General > Advanced.
Files are inserted in the Library according to their tags. For example, if you import a file whose Artist tag is "Bob Dylan", searching for "Bob Dylan" will display the file.
