Media Center 12 can be run for a 30 day trial period without purchase. The 30 day period starts from when Media Center 12 is first installed. Unfortunately, if you tried an early beta version of Media Center 12, went back to Media Center 11, and now want to try Media Center 12 again, your trial period has expired.
