You can use Media Server to stream radio stations to another PC or to a TiVo with HMO. Here's how:

Note that Real audio won't work. MP3 (shoutcast, for example) or WMA will work.

Find any station you can play by using IE. Right click on the link and choose "save target as". This copies the link to the station to the clipboard.

Open MC and choose File/Open Streaming File. Paste the link in by pressing CTRL-V.

The station should start playing in 5 to 30 seconds.

When it is playing, go to Playing Now in MC and right click on the station. Add it to a playlist by using Playlist/Create Select.

Now you have a playlist with the radio station in it. Try playing the playlist -- it will be found under Playlists in the tree on the left.

To serve this to another PC (or to a TiVo with HMO), start Media Server from MC/Tools/More Tools/Media Server. Make sure sharing is also started. There are instructions in another thread here on running Media Server.

Connect to Media Server from the other PC. You may need to add the Media Server PC as a library in the Library Manager under File in MC.

Once connected to the remote PC, find the playlist and play it.
