How to Upgrade

1. Download J. River Media Center 13.0.172. MC13 can co-exist with MC11.1 or MC12.0, and it can convert the old libraries to the new format. Only this build and newer will deliver an MC14 license. More here.

2. To get the upgrade price, you must have installed and licensed Media Jukebox 8. If you need to retrieve older builds or find your license, please see this thread.

When you choose "Buy" in MC13, you should see these prices:

First time purchase: $44.98 or Upgrade purchase: $18.98 (regular $24.98).

(If you think you should see an upgrade price, but you don't, then double check that you have a licensed copy installed. MJ7 and earlier versions don't qualify for the upgrade price.)

Converting MJ8 Libraries

We recommend that you start fresh and let MC13 import your media files.

It is possible to install each upgrade, one by one and let them convert your old libraries. Some upgrades will do the last two versions. For example, install MC9 to convert an MJ8 library.

Most old versions can be found here. MC9 is here.
