If you make changes to the order of your playlist and want to save the new order, make your changes then right-click on the Playlist in the tree, and select "Update Order".
If the order is very important (perhaps it is a Playlist of the top 40 hits of 1993), you may want to export the Playlist. If anything happens to your Playlist, you can always import it again with the right order.
