Registration Codes are permanent licenses. They can be retrieved by using option #2 on the Restore Page. You will receive mail from buy-button at jriver.

Version is important. Your license must match the installed version of MC. Older versions are on our wiki.

Download and install from the Download Page at jriver.com. Other sites may not be trustworthy.

Restore a license by using the Registration Code on the Restore Page. In MC18 and above, this can be done in the program, under Help > Install License, or on the startup screen.

The Install Key is a portable file, generated when you restore. It has an extension of .mjr and can be used to license MC on your other computers. It is only good for 14 days. After that, restore again. Execute the Install Key by double clicking on it from Explorer or Finder after you have installed the correct version of MC.

Problems?

Use Copy and Paste to avoid mistakes. Browsers can sometimes cause problems. Opera renames the .mjr extension of the Install Key to .exe and this will not work. IE is reliable.

When you copy and paste make sure there are no leading or trailing spaces in the Registration Code.

You can view the license status under MC's Help/Registration Info.

Make sure that the version of the license and the version of the installed program match. You cannot use an MC17 license with MC18, for example.
