Conversion can be set by right clicking on the Id in the tree on the left, then choosing "Associate with DLNA Server", then "No conversion".

You can choose which hardware device the Id will play to. In Internet Explorer, you can do this by running Explorer and clicking on the Id Renderer (green play button) under Media Devices. This will start the Id's server in your browser.

Click on Audio Devices. (If you don't see it, you may have a version of the Id that doesn't include it. You can update from the text menu.

You will see a list similar to this one:

  • Null Output
  • default:CARD=PCH [ALSA]
  • front:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 [ALSA]
  • hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 [ALSA]
  • surround40:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 [ALSA]
  • surround41:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 [ALSA]
  • surround50:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 [ALSA]
  • surround51:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 [ALSA]
  • surround71:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 [ALSA]
