MC15 added a feature called Playlist Sync which uses iTunes for the actual Sync.

M4A files can be played with DirectShow.

MC15 supports AIFF files.

MC16 natively supports all non-DRM Apple formats.

MC25 added iTunes Playlist Import. This imports all your iTunes media but does not move files or change them.
