Audio Playback Problems No sound 1. Is sound muted? Double click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the Windows desktop
2. Try switching between Direct Sound and Wave Out in MC's options for playback.
Sounds bad 1. Try playing the track in Windows Media Player.
2. Try switching between Direct Sound and Wave Out in MC's options for playback.
3. Check the DirectShow settings for the file type in MC Options/Playback/Video/DirectShow. If it is checked, uncheck the filetype for playback in DirectShow.
4. Is there any special sound software installed? Consider uninstalling it.
File stops 1. Try playing the track in Windows Media Player. The file may be corrupt or the tag may be bad.
