Media Center 12.0.240 and later support user defined keyboard shortcuts. These shortcuts can be made global so that they are available even with Media Center minimized while inside other programs.

Setup
You will need to create a file: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 12\Data\Custom Resources\Resource.xml
