Media Center includes a 10-band Graphic Equalizer. This feature has been superceded by the Parameteric Equaliser which allows precise user control over the filter response as opposed to the coarse adjustments offered by a graphic equaliser.
A "preamp" band is provided that simply adjusts the overall volume level.
Media Center provides several named (or themed) equalizer presets which can be used as is or they can be modified to suit your own needs.
