I feel that no matter what, every user should first be encouraged to learn and understand the library foundations; viewschemes, smartlists, playlists, search filters etc. etc. and how each element can be combined so as to arrive at a desired subset of files, displayed in a desired fashion, and subsequently, how these subsets can be deployed in the various arenas that MEDIA CENTER plays in.

Structure of the Wiki

Talking with Matt and Jim, they thought the wiki wasn't well enough structured. The last useful forum post above (msg266190) is a collection of tips and tricks. Where does it fit?

Matt thought manuals were useless except as sources of shortcut keystroke definitions.

Any ideas? Gateley 11:10, 26 February 2007 (CST)

In case a user gets ahead of themselves, when entering a topic, you could show them links to information or techniques that they need to understand before anything that follows makes any sense to them?

Is it not possible to get external links to open in a new browser tab/window?

Nice thoughts Marko - no idea on the new tab/window, I searched the documentation and couldn't find anything. Gateley 15:36, 29 March 2007 (CDT)
