The Headphones DSP block provides its own description

Crossfeed makes audio played through headphones sound more natural and less fatiguing.

Audio is mixed between the contralateral and ipsilateral ears after modeling the frequency curve and time-delay associated with non-headphone listening.

The options are:

  • None
  • Subtle
  • Standard
  • Standard (increased spatialization)
  • Pronounced
  • Pronounced (increased spatialization)

Some background information on this type of processing can be found in https://www.headphone.com/pages/headphone-imaging and http://www.meier-audio.homepage.t-online.de/crossfeed.htm (links provided by https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=63984.0)
